Possibly but either get a TV with component input or use S-Video from your sources and feed into an S-Video input.

 

TV manufacturers use chipsets that are pretty good at getting the most from the signals you feed into them and buy such large quantities of chips it keeps the cost down.

 

Any standalone converter would be very expensive due to low volumes.
