If you're going to use a UPS then make sure it is a double
conversion UPS.
This type doesn't pass the mains through at all as it converts the
AC mains to DC then constructs the AC output from scratch.
Connect the PC, router, etc to the UPS. Disconnect anything you can
do without like the printer, etc. And for good measure disconnect
the printer cable, etc from the PC.
If you still have problems then either it is on the phone line or
it's your hardware. Though the latter seems unlikely if it is
happening at certain times.
I have got double conversion UPSs in stock.
