Hi,
The first of the two ports you are seeing will be the actual receiver.
If it binds to an external IP it will be port 3639 and if it can't then
it will be a high port number (49000+) on localhost. The second port
will be the sender, which will be on the external ip, but this is never
bound to a port. so the low numbers you are seeng are probably just
echos of that.
I'm still playing with various thing here to see if I can get to the
bottom of it. I have discovered in vista, and that may cover win2k3r2
too, that I can have more than one app bound to a port on the same
interface, but it doesn't seem reliable. All a bit odd really

Re: [xap_automation] Intranet apps and hub port

Hi,
There are no global overrides to control the intranet ocx beyond what
the app in question tells it to do. So you will need to refer to each
app and see what settings it has.
However I wonder if something else is going on. Firstly Speech doesn't
use the intranetocx which makes me think something a little more
fundamental is happening. Secondly both Speech and the OCX only
have
one function each that binds to a network card and the only time
that
is called is when the app starts up or when the ocx is
initialised.
If you have viewer running on a different PC can you monitor theses
apps and see if the port reported in the heartbeat header changes, that
might help pointing towards what is going on!

Thanks
