Re: Cable Modem

I'm on telewest's cable modem service and both the TV and cable modem traffic are on the same cable.

It is plugged directly into the wall box, they put in two point the other one does the TV box which works OK.

The problem with the Cable Modem is the LED for the cable connection not coming on when it boots up, I reckon the guys who installed didn't check the port was live before they left.

Would it do any harm to connect it to the TV port which does work or is this a separate channel to the modem?
